Welcome! The Hartwell Center is a unique integration of high-throughput biotechnology resources, bioinformatics resources, and academic programs; designed to provide St. Jude with state-of-the-art tools for discovery. These tools include high-throughput DNA sequence analysis, gene expression analysis, proteomics, mass spectrometry, macromolecular synthesis, molecular interaction analysis and other methodologies. Many of these are high-throughput biotechnologies that allow large-scale biology questions to be addressed and are fundamentally changing the way science is conducted. They typically generate enormous datasets and demand a strong bioinformatics staff, software/database development support, and a high-performance computing environment. The Hartwell Center, through its expert staff and significant resources, is pleased to offer these capabilities in support of St. Jude research programs; simply follow the navigation menu for details.
Our Mission is to be the best in applying modern bioinformatics and biotechnology to the study and treatment of pediatric catastrophic diseases.
