The Hartwell Center holds a site-license for Spotfire DecisionSite for Functional Genomics, a bioinformatics application for mining microarray data. Spotfire training classes for both cDNA as well as Affymetrix users are held throughout the year dependant on user request.

Classes are conducted as "hands-on" computer training (approximately 2 hours).

Training includes: data import and export, analysis and visualization of data, annotation of datasets and tools for biological discovery.  Entry level classes are designed to provide familiarity with Spotfire, and do not require prior experience. Advanced classes require completion of an entry-level class, or similar experience with Spotfire. Registration is required.

Training classes are held in the DTRC T-4 Conference Room and can accommodate a maximum of 10-12 students.  To register for a class you will need to establish Hartwell Center Training Account and then click on "SIGNUP".  You can also contact Scientist I, Functional Genomics, or Geoff Neale, PhD, Scientist III, CACT.
