Getting Started with S-Plus
To begin using S-Plus from a PC select Reflection from the Programs Menu, Select Reflection X, Select XDMCP Host: hc-alpha.stjude.org, click ok, login into hc-alpha with your Alpha username and password, open a dtterm window and type: mkdir myproj, then type cd myproj. Finally, type /usr/local/bin/Splus –g& and press return.
To exit from hc-alpha.stjude.org, click the EXIT button at the bottom of the screen and select continue logout.
