SEQUEST
Sequest correlates uninterrupted tandem mass spectra of peptides with amino acid sequences from protein and nucleotide databases. SEQUEST will determine the amino acid sequence and thus the protein(s) and organism(s) that correspond to the mass spectrum being analyzed. (web)
ProteinProspector
Proteinprospector consists of several proteomics tools for mining sequence databases in conjunction with Mass Spectrometry experiments. (web)
Mascot
Mascot is a powerful search engine which uses mass spectrometry data to identify proteins from primary sequence databases. It is capable of searching peptide mass fingerprint in which the only experimental data are peptide mass values; Sequence query in which peptide mass data are combined with amino acid sequence and MS/MS Ion-search using uninterrupted MS/MS data from one or more peptides. (web, cluster)
Incyte - Proteome Bioknowledge® Library
The BioKnowledge Library gives access to Human PSD GPCR-PD, YPD, PombePD, WormPD, MycoPathPD to all subscribed (free) users at St. Jude. (web)
FPA
Family Profile Analysis is a statistically driven algorithm finding distant relationships among protein sequences. It can also be used as a protein fold recognition tool. Please contact Bioinformatics staff for the assistance. (web)
SSPred
SSPred is a protein secondary structure prediction application based on multiple alignment of homologous protein sequence. Please contact Bioinformatics staff for the assistance. (web).
